Nothing is more appetizing than pan full of Onion in the process of being Caramelized. These onions go great with a variety of things, like Beef, Roast Beef, French Dip Sandwiches, on burgers, on tomatoes... Enjoy!!

  1. In a heavy sauté pan: Add the Butter and Oil, and begin to heat.
  2. When the butter is melted, but not brown, add the Onions.
  3. Sprinkle with the Salt, Paprika and Sugar.
  4. Stir with a wooden spoon and let cook.
  5. Keep cooking on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until deep brown. This takes anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour, so be patient, it's worth it.
Recipe Notes

Variation:  To span things up a little, add a dash of Balsamic Vinegar at the end for a more Sweet & Sour affair.
